Anoop Sonpar

                                                

I joined Rotary, specifically the Rotary Club of Raffles City in 2015, at the same time that I arrived in Singapore together with my family, Tanja and our 3 sons, Fabien, Julian and Tarun. I was introduced by PP Florian and attended quite a few events before making the commitment to be inducted.

                   

I was new to Singapore at the time, and I really felt the spirit of ‘Rotary Connects the World’ very quickly – attending installations at Sister Clubs and from our own District, District Assembly and Conference. I very much enjoyed the fellowship and club camaraderie and quickly took up a Director’s post in Vocational Services. Over the years I took on other Director’s posts and was very happy to be considered for President.

                   

We truly believe that Rotary stands for a sense of Fellowship, of belonging and of Purpose, leveraging our professions to provide service above self, and having fun in the meantime!

                   

My professional background is in enterprise software sales and distribution. I am the Regional Director at Finastra covering the South-East Asia region together with my teams; Finastra is now the 3rd largest FinTech in the world and provides a best in class and best in suite portfolio of banking platforms to banks and other financial institutions across the globe. As part of my role, I need to travel extensively throughout the South-East Asia region, which is something that I very much enjoy.

                   

I was born in London, England, have lived and worked there, and also spent a long time in Frankfurt, Germany before moving to Singapore.
